Never in a million years did we think George Washington’s hairstyle would influence one of the biggest TikTok fashion trends, but here we are. If we’ve learned one thing this year, it’s that you need a hairbow in your life—that and some Maryjane ballet flats. The Coquette trend embodies a playful and flirtatious attitude, characterized by ribbons, lace, and pastel colors (think modern-day Bridgerton vibes).
To master the coquette look, simply channel your favorite princesses—or founding fathers—and dress as daintily as possible.

Who coins these TikTok trends?! We give an A+ for the names. The “coastal grandma” became a trend in TikTok fashion back in 2022, but it’s as popular as ever today.
